Hotel Lighting from China: Chandeliers, Lamps and Custom Decorative Fixtures
Lighting is what makes a hotel interior look like the render at night, and it is often the last package to be decided. Decorative fixtures also tend to be the most custom items in a project: a lobby chandelier sized to a double-height ceiling, wall lights in the brand’s metal finish, lamps that match the guestroom furniture. Chinify sources decorative and custom lighting from specialised factories in the Pearl River Delta, close to our base in Foshan, and ships it together with the furniture.

What we make
- Lobby and public areas: custom chandeliers and large-scale pendants, sculptural fixtures, wall lights and floor lamps
- Restaurant and bar: pendants over tables and bars, wall lights, table lamps (including rechargeable models)
- Guestrooms and suites: bedside wall lights and reading lights, desk lamps, table and floor lamps, mirror lights
- Corridors and lift lobbies: decorative wall lights and ceiling fixtures
- Outdoor and pool: decorative outdoor lamps and lanterns rated for outdoor use

We focus on decorative lighting, the fixtures your interior designer specifies. Architectural and technical lighting (downlights, linear systems, controls) is usually part of the electrical contract; we can quote it when the project asks.
What to specify in hotel lighting
| Element | What we specify |
|---|---|
| Materials and finish | Metal (steel, aluminium, brass), glass, fabric or stone; plating or powder-coat finish approved on a sample next to the furniture finishes |
| Light source | Integrated LED or lamp holder type, colour temperature and colour rendering as set by your lighting designer |
| Electrical | Voltage and frequency for your country, driver type, dimming compatibility with your control system, and plug type for lamps |
| Wet and outdoor areas | Fixtures with the IP rating your designer or local code requires for bathrooms, terraces and pools |
| Installation | Canopy size, mounting plate and fixing method, total weight and suspension length, confirmed against ceiling heights on site |
| Spare parts | Spare drivers, shades and glass for maintenance, agreed with the operator |
Each country has its own rules for electrical products, for example NOM in Mexico, RETILAP in Colombia or SEC certification in Chile. Ask your importer which certification your fixtures need before ordering, so we can specify components and request the right test reports from the factory.

How a lighting package works
- Brief: the lighting schedule or designer’s drawings, quantities per area, ceiling heights and the country of installation.
- Specification and FOB quotation: materials, finish, light source, electrical data and mounting for each fixture.
- Samples: finish samples for every metal and glass, then a full sample of each repeated fixture; for one-off chandeliers, shop drawings and a scaled detail.
- Production and three-stage QC: materials, in-production and pre-shipment inspections, including a power-on test of each fixture.
- Packing: fixtures crated or packed in foam, glass packed separately, labelled by area and floor.
Payment, inspection and shipping are explained on how we work.
MOQ and lead times
- Repeated fixtures (guestroom lamps, wall lights): standard models from 5 to 10 pieces per model; custom models usually 20 to 50 pieces per model.
- One-off chandeliers and feature fixtures: made to order for the project.
- Samples: about 2 to 3 weeks for a standard model with changes, 3 to 6 weeks for a new design.
- Production: about 30 to 45 days for standard models and 45 to 75 days for custom work after sample approval.
Lighting ships in the same containers as the furniture, so finishes are checked side by side before loading.

Frequently asked questions
Can you make a custom chandelier from our designer’s drawing?
Yes. The factory prepares shop drawings with dimensions, materials, weight and mounting details, and production starts after your designer approves them. Finishes are approved on samples first.
Will the lights work with our country’s voltage?
Yes. We specify voltage, frequency, drivers and plug types for the country of installation. Tell us at the start which electrical certification your importer needs, so the right components and test reports are included.
Are the fixtures tested before shipping?
Yes. During the pre-shipment inspection each fixture is switched on and checked for finish, function and completeness, and the results are recorded in the inspection report with photos.
Can lighting ship together with the furniture?
Yes. We consolidate lighting and furniture in the same containers, which saves freight and lets us compare metal finishes on lights and furniture before loading.
